Installing on Windows

Run the installer. It is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” — click More info, then Run anyway. (Your browser may also ask whether to keep the file.) Choose “only for me” to install without an administrator password.

To check the download, run this in PowerShell in the folder it was saved in — the result must be 546e534cb542515b877250864ef181e6e2eb561f3418037c1a0c8d933a6a3c97:

Get-FileHash .\PDF-Fire-Setup-0.1.14-x64.exe

What it does

Edit text in placeClick into a line or paragraph and type, like a word processor — the original font is kept.
Fill and build formsFill any form, or turn a printed form into a fillable one: detect fields automatically, add check boxes and signature lines.
Sign with certificatesHandwriting-style digital signatures with timestamps, a signing record, certify (lock) documents, and department certificates.
Redact for realRemoves the hidden text and images under the black box, not just covers them.
Scan and OCRScan straight from your scanner and make scans searchable.
Read aloudNatural-sounding voices that work offline.
Pages and marksInsert, delete, rotate and merge pages; watermarks, headers, Bates numbers, backgrounds.
Comment and reviewHighlights, notes, stamps, circles and arrows; protect files with passwords and permissions.
🔒 Verify the download

Every installer and the update repository are signed with the PDF Fire signing key. Its fingerprint is 1AD3 AB56 3A5F C1D4 F403 632A C011 9E5C 2237 8B81 — your package manager shows it when you add the key; it must match. Public key · Install notes
